A Tale of Two Takeoffs

The photo is of a very experienced pilot in a low performance airplane departing from a moderate density altitude condition; everything is “right”, i.e., into the wind, downhill and paying attention to airspeed / AOA, and density altitude.

At the lower right of the FULL SIZE photo, however, are the burn marks from a very rich pilot in a high performance airplane departing in the wrong direction in a non-density altitude condition, uphill, downwind and apparently not paying attention to airspeed.

Such an unnecessary tragedy!  What can we (PSAAC) learn from this?
